As an independently licensed clinical social worker, Melissa is dedicated to improving the lives of children, adults, and families. She earned her Master’s degree from Adelphi University in New York in 2007 and received her LCSW from the State of Maine in 2017.
Melissa has worked in a variety of settings within the social work field and has spent nearly 10 years with a community-based agency. She is now excited to expand her work into private practice, where she can continue providing compassionate, client-centered care.

As a certified social worker, Melissa understands the weight and frustration of feeling that there is more out there for you, but not knowing where to begin. Her mission is simple: to provide clients with the education, tools, and resources they need to feel happy, healthy, and capable of managing life’s pressures. Melissa brings extensive experience working with diverse populations across multiple settings. Her background includes working with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as individuals impacted by homelessness, substance use, domestic violence, and trauma.

Melissa is trained in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Family and Marital Therapy, Parental Coaching, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
